Principal objectives

The implementation stage is the most important one in ensuring that the Emergency Plan functions correctly. This stage includes:

  • Designation of key personnel to form part of the Emergency Plan structure.
  • Training these people in the different actions to be performed during an emergency.
  • Staging periodic emergency drills and simulation exercises to check the performance of human and material measures during an emergency.

To find out more

The aim of the emergency drills and simulation exercises is to check:

  • Performance of existing fire protection measures and the adequacy of evacuation routes.
  • Functioning and effectiveness of personal alert devices, alarm systems and channels of communication during an emergency.
  • Speed of response from emergency teams in applying the emergency measures.
  • Functioning of the above groups in simulated conditions in order to obtain an initial evaluation of their efficiency
