Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, applying the OHSAS 18001 Specification

print

The 31/95 Law (and its subsequent amendment in the 54/03 Law) stipulates that the prevention of workplace risks must be incorporated into the general management systems of businesses in all areas of their activities and at all organisational levels.

The OHSAS 18.001 specification requires the design of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System to enable such incorporation.

Why must an Occupational Health and Safety Management System be introduced?

To guarantee continual improvement in the management of workplace risks and to ensure the incorporation of these management tasks into business activities and decision-making processes as a whole. This provides the possibility of making them compatible with existing systems of quality and environmental management.

Who should introduce the system?

All businesses interested in achieving continual improvement in workplace risk management.
