Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors

As established in the R.D. 1566/99, a business whose activities include the loading, unloading or transport of dangerous goods is obliged to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor with responsibility for management of the risks associated with such activities.

Why is it necessary to have a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor?

A management and documentation system must be set up to minimise the risks arising from the loading, unloading and carriage of dangerous goods.

Who must have a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor?

All businesses involved in the loading, unloading or carriage of dangerous goods (flammable liquids, toxic substances, combustion agents, corrosive substances, gases and so on).
